Rain Gate Downspout Diverter

The easy way to collect water from your downpipe

Rain Gate downpipe diverter is a simple way of redirecting the water collected from your roof to any area of your garden or lawn, top-up your pool or tank, by simply attaching the appropriate hose to the diverter outlet.

In heavier downfalls an overflow system will direct the excess water through to the stormwater drain. To Shut off the diversion simply remove your hose and replace end caps, water will then flow through the overflow down the downpipe to the stormwater drain.

Installation:

Remove section of downpipe in which the Rain Gate will be situated. Ensure all edges are clean and smooth. Using snips remove a section of the top cap to fit the downpipe. Fit the correct downpipe adapter to the bottom of the Rain Gate. Install the Rain Gate by sliding the unit up underneath the top section of the downpipe and then down into position until the downpipe adapter sits firmly in place on the bottom.

Maintenance:

To clean the valve, remove the Rain Gate from the wall by sliding it up the downpipe the downwards and outwards. Remove the downpipe adapter from the bottom of the Rain Gate to expose the valve. The valve can then be removed with a firm pull. To clean simply brush or hose off. To re-install push the valve back into the body with a firm vertical push. It will snap into place when installed correctly. The outlet also has an internal mosquito barrier. To clean, simply remove the outlet and mosquito barrier, hose off, then replace.
